The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), through the Productivity and Development Center (PDC), invites the participation of government agencies to attend the Back to Back Public Sector Quality and Productivity Improvement Forum (PSQPIF) and Government Best Practice Recognition (GBPR) 2021 on 16 – 17 December.  The theme of the virtual event is “Public Sector Response, Resiliency and Foresight to Overcome Uncertainties Beyond the Pandemic”.

The virtual event is a unique opportunity for the public sector to come together and develop their awareness on risk management. The effects of the pandemic have exposed gaps in the current systems and paved the way for public sector organizations to make great leaps in innovating their service delivery. The question is, how can aligning sustainability with risk management lead to stronger public service delivery?  Such a question is the focal point of the discussions of the various presenters in the forum: Ricardo L. Saludo (Founding President Center for Strategy, Enterprise and Intelligence, Atty.  Adrian Jude G.  Echaus (OIC-Assistant Secretary, Department of Information and Communications Technology), Veronica T. Gabaldon (Executive Director Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation), Monica D. Saliendres, (Director, DAP- Productivity Development Research Office), and Ronald Jackson (Head, Disaster Risk Reduction and Recovery Team for Building Resilience, United Development Programme – Geneva, Switzerland).

Annually, the PSQPIF and the GBPR are events being implemented for public sector organizations to learn from experts, share experiences, develop collaborations and recognize best practices toward improving productivity and quality.  These are jointly supported by the Government Quality Management Program (GQMP) and the DAP’s Center of Excellence on Public Sector Productivity (COE-PSP).  The GBPR supplements the DAP’s efforts to improve organizational productivity and performance in the public sector by recognizing innovative best practices of government agencies.
