Pasig City, Philippines \u2013 The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), in its capacity as an accredited Certification Body (CB) for Productivity Specialists of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), conducted a two-day training for 18 assessors and internal auditors on March 26 to 27, 2026 at the Astoria Plaza.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative aimed to equip participants with a deeper understanding of the Certified Productivity Specialist (CPS) certification scheme, particularly its rationale, assessment processes, and quality assurance requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resource Persons Ni\u00f1a Maria Estudillo and Ana Marisse Dalawis led the discussions on the CPS certification scheme in accordance with national mandates and international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Estudillo facilitated an interactive session on the CPS Certification Process, where participants took part in a simulation exercise replicating actual assessment scenarios. This hands-on activity gave participants a practical appreciation of the certification workflow and decision-making process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session also highlighted the framework for productivity improvement, emphasizing the value of structured and systematic approaches in enhancing organizational performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Ms. Dalawis expounded on the DAP CB Certification System, emphasizing provisions tackling impartiality, key certification requirements under ISO\/IEC 17024:2012, and the roles of assessors and internal auditors. She underscored the importance of being systematic and independent to uphold the credibility, effectiveness, and efficiency of the certification process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training concluded with interactive and collaborative sessions that promoted knowledge exchange and deepened participants\u2019 understanding of the CPS scheme\u2019s certification and auditing system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
