The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), as the Philippines\u2019 National Productivity Organization (NPO) and an Asian Productivity Organization (APO)-accredited Certification Body (CB) for Productivity Specialists, participated in the Workshop on the Standardization of the Certified Productivity Specialists (CPS) Assessment Framework held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 21 to 24 April 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop convened 21 participants from 14 APO member economies, including representatives from 11 APO-accredited certification bodies. Participating economies included Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam, with Lao PDR, Nepal, and Cambodia joining as emerging or prospective certification bodies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity focused on harmonizing certification processes for Productivity Specialists and Green Productivity practitioners to ensure consistency, credibility, and alignment with international standards. Key sessions covered preparatory training, assessment methodologies, examination and recertification processes, as well as assessor competency and the development of a unified assessment framework. These efforts are intended to strengthen quality assurance mechanisms and uphold the integrity of certification decisions across member economies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop also provided a platform for participating certification bodies to exchange operational experiences, challenges, and good practices in implementing their respective certification schemes. The Philippines shared updates on the implementation of the CPS Program and ongoing initiatives to enhance assessment processes under the DAP CB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing the Philippines were Monica Saliendres, Acting Vice President of the Productivity and Development Center and Head of Certification of the DAP CB, and Yuri R. Munsayac, Program Manager of the Government Quality Management Program and Certification Manager of the DAP CB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DAP\u2019s participation supports the continuous improvement of its certification systems and alignment with international requirements, ensuring that certified Productivity Specialists in the Philippines are equipped to deliver measurable productivity improvements and enhance service quality across sectors.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
