
Development Academy of the Philippines Certification Body (DAP CB) convened for the first Certification Council Meeting on April 15, 2026 at the DAP Building. The meeting served as an orientation on the Certified Productivity Specialist (CPS) scheme, providing clarity to the council’s responsibilities, as well as a platform to gather inputs for the DAP’s efforts towards championing productivity.
Certification Council Chairperson and DAP Executive Vice President Magdalena L. Mendoza led the meeting with key participation from Dr. Eduardo T. Gonzalez and Dr. Rey B. Fremista, representing the academe and industry respectively. Also in attendance were DAP CB Head of Certification Monica D. Saliendres and Certification Manager Yuri R. Munsayac.
Apart from the discussions focusing on the certification standards and overall structure of the certification body, council members also examined the application and assessment process. Key points tackled were the selection of assessors, application and examination-related concerns, and process improvements to ensure a fair and flexible system.
The DAP CB is committed to establishing a system that is credible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of productivity specialists.
