The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) serves as the country’s designated National Productivity Organization (NPO), representing the Philippines in the Asian Productivity Organization (APO)โan intergovernmental organization established in 1961 to promote productivity improvement, innovation, and sustainable socioeconomic development across the Asia-Pacific region.
As the NPO, DAP represents the Philippines in APO programs and regional productivity initiatives, facilitates the participation of government, private sector, academe, and experts in local and regional development, and serves as a bridge between global productivity knowledge and local development priorities by bringing home international best practices, innovations, and productivity approaches that support organizational excellence, digital transformation, and public sector performance improvement.
Through DAP’s role as the NPO, the Philippines has benefited from decades of regional cooperation, technical exchanges, capacity-building programs, and knowledge sharing with some of the most productive economies in the Asia-Pacific region.

Being the Philippines’ National Productivity Organization is more than an international designation. It positions DAP as the country’s gateway to regional productivity knowledge and reinforces the Academy’s unique role in helping government and organizations translate innovation, governance, and capability development into improved performance and national development.
